So what have we been up to, you must be wondering. Not too much and a whole heck of a lot. Just a few highlights:

1. I injured myself on the CTA. Don’t ask, but somehow I managed to be standing too close to doors that open inward and they sliced my poor pinky toe. I was bleeding and had to go to the ER for a tetnus shot (would you trust the bacteria on the El? I thought not!) The thing was, I was on my way to a client meeting (woops) and wound up going to the hospital instead.

2. We are buying a house. I’m not sure if I touched on this in earlier posts, but it’s quite an exciting time for us. We found a builder we like, put in an offer and are working out the details of our new-home-to-be. Frank and I have stopped sleeping and eating due to the gi-normousness of this investment. Needless to say, we are very excited about our new home – it will definitely be a step up from our 1 bdrm apartment!!

3. We are going to Disney in 1 week!!! Yay!!! It’s going to be a wonderful time and we can’t wait to be riding the rides and relaxing by the pool. We just hope we don’t have any hurricanes!!

ah yes – it wouldn’t be Sunday Night without The Sunday Night Anxiety. Did I do everything I needed to do? Did I forget something? What kind of nightmare awaits me tomorrow?

I should always remember the Bible verse I selected before my baptism. It is Jesus giving telling people not to worry and showing the needlessness of worry (is needlessness a word?)

Matthew 6:25-27
25“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life[b]?

It is so true. Worrying never solved anything, made it any better. And God is faithful and helps us through rough times. It just reminds me how well God takes care of even the smallest of animals and provides for it.

So good news, there is no need to worry. And the not so good news? Tomorrow is already Monday!! eeek!

🙂 I hope everyone has a great week!

Well, it has been a while since I posted last and I figured that I should give a basic run-down of what is going on in my life. Aside from work, which I will always just say is “busy,” Frank and I are finalizing some plans to go on vac-cay – whee! We’re just going for a few days, but it took us over a year to plan it. We’re goin’ to Dizz-knee-world! Huge bonus: Frank gets a 50% discount on all hotels on the grounds, so we’ll be staying at the Wilderness Hotel. I’m so excited!! (So is Frank!)

Anyway – Frank has been flying like crazy. He’ll be gone all of this weekend, leaving me to wander aimlessly about the state of Wisconsin. Maybe even Illinois. “Have you seen my husband?”

Actually, it’s been pretty crazy like that for a few weeks. He finally has a schedule – hoorah – so at least we know when he’ll be gone and when he’ll be home. That’ll be very nice. My family will actually be up in Wisconsin camping which will be nice. I’ll go down there, chill with them for a bit. Have some BBQ and come home. Jeff & Amy are having a party tomorrow night, so I’m going to call to RSVP for that good time.

Okay. I’m done. I’m tired, too. ::Yawn::
